THE VESSEL OF THEMES

​

When you come to Cottonwood Gathering you have the opportunity to contribute theme ideas to the Vessel of Themes.

Write the thought onto a slip of paper, fold it in half, and drop it into the glittering Vessel.

At the end of each Gathering, someone reaches in to the vessel and pulls one of the ideas out and reads it aloud, and this then becomes the theme for the following week.

Here's what gently arose its power last Sunday:

 

“GRATITUDE”

​

“ Gratitude is honoring the source from which all blessings and happiness arise - a form of mindfulness or awareness of the smallest blessing. Growth comes from being grateful for the difficulties in life that gave you the strength to become who you are.

 

“ In keeping with this season of thanksgiving and gratitude for what we have, a pot-luck is planned for Sunday, December 1st. It is not mandatory that you bring something. Just bring yourself. Snacks are welcome. See you on Sunday.” - Janey Evans
