Dear Community,
I am sharing a couple links here for your curiosity. One is a brief interview with Jon Batiste and Suleika Joaoud about their newly released documentary "American Symphony", about his rise into fame with his music while she was fighting for her life against Leukemia. She is also a NY Times best selling author and Emmy award winning columnist who writes a column called "Life Interrupted" - which began while she was in the early trenches of fighting cancer at the age of 22. Her memoir is called Between Two Kingdoms and she also has a blog on Substack called the Isolation Journals. I am sharing all of this because what they are sharing through all of their work is about courage, creativity, and the importance of personal authenticity in the face of survival.
Their documentary is one of deep humanity. Much of their mission is at the heart of what I hoped might be found within the circle created for the Gathering. I hope these interviews and if you choose to watch the Documentary on Netflix, inspires you to ask yourself many loving questions about how you are living and being your most authentic self. And how we can hold the duality of what life really is, with grace and love.
