SUNDAY JANUARY 21st
Science and Advanced Tech
Someone asked me "What is your favorite technology?"
My first thought is Pencil and Paper. And rubber Erasers.
To me, pencil feels like the most direct and immediate transmission from my thought to physicality. Well, OK sure, my voice is creating waves of air and ether, converting my thoughts and feelings to symbolic physical forms, to bump, wiggle and transmute the world with my thought, "in the beginning was the WORD upon the waters", OK, sure, but well, i just love the pencil and paper. And eraser.
Then I think about all the other tech needed to produce THOSE wonderous instruments. Machinery, metalurgy, fuel, wheels, precision wood cutting, farming to feed the machinist, homecare intelligence to keep their family foundation alive.... Actually the list is very LOOOOONG. Maybe infinite. And myriad.
Advanced technology? Are flying saucers "advanced"? Or have they been around for millions of years, just maybe not in our neighborhood? What about Time Travel Portals? There is evidence of those technologies in ancient Mesopotamia/Sumeria/Egypt from 3500 BCE.
Is that "advanced"? Or are we just retarded?

Circles of Trust... are a rare form of community - one that supports rather than supplants the individual quest for integrity - that is rooted in two basic beliefs. First, we all have an inner teacher whose guidance is more reliable than anything we can get from a doctrine, ideology, collective belief system, institution, or leader. Second, we all need other people to invite, amplify, and help us discern the inner teacher's voice.
