THE VESSEL OF THEMES

When you come to Cottonwood Gathering you have the opportunity to contribute theme ideas to the Vessel of Themes.

Write the thought onto a slip of paper, fold it in half, and drop it into the glittering Vessel.

At the end of each Gathering, someone reaches in to the vessel and pulls one of the ideas out and reads it aloud, and this then becomes the theme for the following week.

Here's what gently arose its power last Sunday:

“Do We Ever Feel We Have Enough?”

 

Is “Enough” a mental thing, or an emotional thing?

Is it an objective thing, or a subjective thing?

Life is so unpredictable and ever changing it is easy for me to think there is something I need but then it rots on the shelf or vanishes into the memory hole. I thought I needed it but it turned out I already had Enough.

The more connected I am to community, friends, family, the more “Enough” I have. The connected state, there’s magic in it.
